The Adelaide and Gouldings provide short term respite care and day services.
Adelaide Overview
The Adelaide is situated in Ryde and is a purpose built resource centre. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission, offering a high standard of care by trained and experience staff in a comfortable environment. We have a positive approach to person centred care and promotion of independence. We work closely with GPs, District Nurses and other Health and Social care professionals to maintain client’s wellbeing. Clients have access to chiropody, hairdressing, and bathing facilities.
The services we offer include regular respite to enable carers to have a break from their caring role, day care services to provide social interaction and to enable clients to use bathing facilities and a choice of excellent home cooked meals and access to outreach services.

Gouldings Overview
The Gouldings is a Care Quality Commission registered Resource Centre providing Day Care, Convalescence, Respite, Rehabilitation and Short stays to individuals. The Gouldings has a highly dedicated and skilled staff team who support and empower each individual to promote their independence in a relaxed and informal and social environment. Our experienced and professional team also works towards developing a supportive working relationship with its clients encouraging them to build up and maintain their confidence and self-esteem.
The Gouldings has a long standing reputation for a high quality of care that it provides for its clients who have a wide variety of needs. We also work closely with health and social care professionals who will visit on a regular basis or will make visits by arrangement. These include local GP’s and the District Nurses. The Gouldings provides services and support 24 hours a day seven days a week throughout the year.

Referrals and Assessment
Referral
If there is a need or requirement for respite then your allocated social care worker can be contacted on in order for a referral to be made. In addition, the First Response team can also be contacted on for a referral to be put through for respite services. Assessment
There is a cost for services provided by the centres. A referral will be made to the Financial Assessment and Charging Team via a social care worker. The team will then visit to discuss your individual circumstances and assess your ability to pay towards the cost of the services.
