Hate incidents and hate crime are acts of violence or hostility directed at people because of who they are or who someone thinks they are.
For example, you may have been verbally abused by someone in the street because you’re disabled or someone thought you were gay.
If you’ve experienced a hate incident or hate crime you can report it to the police.
Age UK IW offer an LGBT Hate Crime & Domestic Abuse Support Service with safe, confidential & impartial support for people experiencing hate crime and/or domestic abuse.This service is for people who are: 50 years and older and who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) or non-binary.
Breakout Youth offer support to those under 21years of age.
