If you’re looking for work, thinking about returning to work, or want to change your career, there is help available. It may be a long time since you went through the process of looking for a job, filling in application forms and attending interviews.

Where To Find Work

If you’re out of work, whether it’s voluntarily or through redundancy, it can take time to find another job, regardless of your age.  Apprenticeships are now available to both young and older people.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are advertised on the government’s website.

IW College and HTP Apprenticeship College can also help arrange apprenticeships on the Island.

Careers Advice

Island Futures provide independent information, advice and guidance to support young people to participate in education, employment and training. In partnership with schools, the team provides fully qualified and independent careers advisers for students to access within the majority of the island’s secondary schools. Drop-in sessions are available for those not in education.
