Home to School Transport:
The has the responsibility for the procurement and management of home to school transport for around 4,000 students.
The majority of these students travel on the dedicated contracted home to school bus and coach services. Some students travel by the network of public bus or rail services whilst some travel by taxi due to their needs or geographical location.
For contracted school bus services operating to Medina House and St George’s special schools, specialist safety seating is available and highly trained Passenger Escorts travel on the bus service in order to meet the needs of individual students.
All drivers and Passenger Escorts must hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

If you have any queries concerning whether your child is eligible for free home to school transport, please contact School Admissions.
In order to ensure that your child is waiting for the bus to school at the right time and at the right bus stop please the view school bus service timetables, route information and maps accessible via the links at the bottom of this page.
At the Bus Stop:
Only the bus stops listed will be served. Should you wish to use a stop not listed then please contact the transport Operator directly to make a request. Any requests to add a new stop will be discussed between the transport Operator and the Transport Team before being agreed. You are advised to stand so you can be clearly seen at the road side so that the driver is aware you intend to travel. All vehicles have destination signs so that the correct service can be clearly identified.
Students must travel on the bus route to which they have been allocated.
